Renovated Sanctuary At Night

After our new piano arrived, I went to the sanctuary one evening to take some pix. It’s a beautiful place at night! These don’t really do justice to it, and these pix are just a touch blurry, but they give you the idea. Anybody wanna come sit here a while one evening and pray?

I just love this place. It’s rural, quiet, very 1950’s (motel room is $50 per night; no phone but you get TV!) It’s got to be the curviest road in America, and the scenery is outstanding. Here’s my pix from my 2009 trip:

Bigger Than Jesus

The Religion News Service blog reports on a new Harris poll that reported more Americans (age 18 and older) pick Barack obama as their hero than picked Jesus. Jesus came in #2, Martin Luther King, Reagan, George Bush (yep) and Abraham Lincoln. God came in 11th. The blog notes that all 2,634 participants in the poll were struck by lightning…
