What’s News – A Modern Translation
A couple of Facebook friends were posting about stuff they’d learned from each other – like that yesterday was the only day of the year that’s a command. March 4th. OK, not great but interesting! It got better though:
“The evil men do so long lives after them. The good is oft interred with their bones…” – Shakespeare, I think?
Newer translation, from the Fake AP Stylebook:
“The deceased’s time volunteering in the community goes in the obituary. The stand-off with the police goes on the front page.”
Thank you, Karen Carpenedo and Dave Toot.
