Easter Greetings From The Empty Tomb

At least at my place, and at most churches I know, attendance is far greater on Easter Sunday than it is on Maundy Thursday or Good Friday. And I’m sure there are lots of reasons for that. One of those reasons is that we’re more attracted to sweetness, light, and happiness than to darkness and betrayal. So I usually lay off Easter greetings during Holy Week. I can’t help but think that’s encouraged by commercial interests, a way to sell more chocolate bunnies before Easter Sunday. But here is an Easter greeting that makes clear why you gotta have Friday in order to get to Sunday.

Happy Easter indeed!
