In Memory Of Lisa Salvatore

It was my honor and privilege to participate in Lisa’s funeral service today. Lisa spent the last three and a half years undergoing chemotherapy, and in all that time she maintained  hope and a willingness to live each moment. She was an example to me of someone who knew the truth, and was set free (John 8:31-32).

Laurie Watkins sang the “Untitled Hymn” at Lisa’s service. A beautiful version of it is .  This is for Lisa, and for everyone who is moving further toward the finish line and knows it.

Lisa and Dean’s daughters will be going off to college this fall – Holly to Appalachian State, Abby to Butler U. Please keep them all in your prayers – including your prayers of gratitude for their example in our lives.

Such a beautiful celebration of Lisa’s life. What an amazing family.

Earl, I cannot connect to the link that will show me the name of this artist, but it sounds like David Wilcox. I did not know he sang Christian music (if indeed it is him) Who is it?

Thanks be to God for Lisa’s beautiful life. And thank you for a beautiful service today.

    • Hey Margie – all the music, including your & Holly’s “Fly Away” really made the service so sweet, relaxed and personal. “Untitled Hymn” is by Chris Rice.

  2. Yes, the funeral service for Lisa was so uplifting and abounding in love! Lisa’s own words that Lori read were so positive; Lisa had no doubt in Christ’s Assurance of Salvation, and she endured her suffering through faith! She will never be forgotten and will always be loved by everyone who were blessed to know her.

Dean, Holly, and Abby – your deep love for Lisa and her deep love for each of you has always been evident! We love you too!
