My Father in Law Honored By The NEA
Folks who know Joh may know that her dad (Robert E. Ward) is an opera composer, and a famous one at that. Back in the early 60’s he composed the opera “The Crucible”, working with Arthur Miller on that project which won Bob a Pulitzer Prize.
Today the National Endowment For the Arts announced that Bob is one of four recipients of their Lifetime Opera Honors awards! While I’m not all that into classical or opera music, it is a great honor, especially as it recognizes Bob’s creativity and talent not just for a single project but for a lifetime of work. So congratulations, Bob! And to my wife Johanna – if you see her, give her a great big “kudos”, will you?
